Dr. Ali Y. Ghatri
Dr. Ali Ghatri completed his dental education at Case Western Reserve University, where he was awarded the Certificate of Academic Excellence in Dentistry in both 1991 & 1992. In his last year of dental school, he was granted membership into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for excellence in academic achievement.
Dr. Ghatri was honored by being recognized in the 1990 edition of Who’s Who of Dentists in the United States as well as the 1999 edition of Guide to America’s Top Dentists.
Dr. Ghatri received his orthodontic certificate from the Orthodontic Department of the University of Connecticut. He started his practice in the metro area of Washington, D.C. in 1995. Throughout his career, he has treated many children and adults using the newest and most advanced technologies available.
Dr. Ghatri is an avid advocate of patient comfort and well-being and that is why he is active in provid
ing the Damon System, Invisalign® ,iBraces, Smartclip Braces, OrthoCAD IQ, and SureSmile to his patients.
He has been a member of the American Association of Orthodontists since 1992 and has received the American Association of Orthodontists’ Scientific Program Award for his participation in orthodontic education and research. He has been recognized as an Invisalign Elite Provider and is among the top 1% of Invisalign Providers in the United States. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
In Dr. Ghatri's spare time he enjoys playing soccer and tennis as well as reading and going to the movies. Spending time with hisfamily is his most favorite activity.
Dr. Ghatri was recently named Top Dentist with Northern Virginia Magazine for 2011!
Dr. Vivian Fan
Dr. Vivian Fan is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Rochester, where she majored in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biology. She received her doctoral degree in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2000. She then moved to Boston for a Postgraduate Orthodontic Residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, joint with a PhD program in Biological Engineering at MIT. After the completion of ten years of professional dental training Dr. Fan is dedicated to excellent patient care as a Board-Certified orthodontist and hopes to facilitate the transition of new advances in research and technology into clinical orthodontics.
Dr. David Rad
Dr. David Rad grew up outside of Boston in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate education at Boston University, where he graduated with honors in Economics. He went on to Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where he completed his DMD, magna cum laude. He was awarded membership into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for excellence in academic achievement. He was also awarded the Certificate of Excellence from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology for his outstanding academic achievements in the field of Oral Pathology.
Dr. Rad went on to receive a Masters of Science Degree and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate study, both in the field of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Boston University Dental School. He served as chief resident during his clinical residency and was trained under world-renowned orthodontist Dr. Anthony A Gianelly. He has also done extensive research in bone biology and metabolism during his post-graduate education.
Dr. Rad practiced general dentistry and orthodontics in a private practice in Wellesley, Massachusetts before moving to the Maryland and Virginia area. Dr. Rad is an avid advocate of using the latest techniques and technologies in orthodontics and is incorporating them with Dr. Ghatri's practice experience in order to provide the most efficient, highest quality treatment possible.
In his free time Dr. Rad enjoys soccer, tennis, squash, running and pretty much any activity involving the beach and ocean. He also is trying to learn golf, so feel free to give him some pointers.
Dr. Ibrahim Y. Alhussain
Dr. Ibrahim Y. Alhussain received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. He then received his orthodontic certificate in 2006 from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Dr. Alhussain joined the practice in 2006 with more than six years of previous orthodontic experience from France. He has served as a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, and has lectured at various international orthodontic meetings. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of many organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and the European Orthodontic Society. Married and the father of four children, he is committed to his family and community.
